Week 15

Friday, April 9, 2010
My fingers fly over the keyboard cranking out work for clients,
while the washing machine hums, the dishwasher runs,
and the pattering of little feet can be heard cruising through the house.

Saturday, April 10, 2010
Day one of the Society for Children Book Writers and Illustrators
conference makes me realize how blissful
my state of “not knowing” really is.

Sunday, April 11, 2010
My head is swimming from information overload,
but in a good way.

Monday April 12, 2010
I am on a roll! My clients will be so pleased!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010
The four year old to the two year old, “It’s ‘Chava’ with a ‘v’.”
Two year old replies in his monotone voice, “Haba.”
“No,” says the four year old. “Va, va, va, v. Can you say ‘v’?”
“B.”
“No, veee.”
“Beee.”
“Chava.”
“Haba,” the two year old replies and walks away.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

I'm pretty sure the youngest is copying the oldest and
the oldest doesn't know what he looks like.

Thursday, April 15, 2010
Attention writers: If you have writers block,
go and sit with a group of 5th and 6th graders for an hour
and they’ll get the juices flowing!
